Christmas Dinner

My parents bought a huge prime rib for our dinner.  My brother-in-law Jeff volunteered to cook it.  He made a very tasty horseradish crust to coat it in.  It turned out beautifully.  Sooo tasty!

 The finished roast!

We ended the night with a fun game of Apples to Apples.
Kevin was joking with Garrett and put on a beanie and headphones.

Christmas Morning

It was a very different Christmas this year.  We actually slept in this year.  The kids got up around 7am.  Usually they are up at 4ish!  I put the presents under the tree earlier in the week rather than in the morning so they had already been scoping things out.  I think Garrett probably peeked at all his things because he already knew what he was getting!  It was a light Christmas this year but we all got a couple of things we had been hoping for.  God is so good and always provides.

Morgan was the first up on this cold morning!
Garrett used to be such a snuggler.  He thinks he is all grown up now.  (He still snuggles with me sometimes.)
Morgan got a couple of very special gifts this year.  This one was a charm for her bracelet from her birth mom.
This was another special gift from her birth grandparents.  She was so excited to open them!
I was excited to get a Kindle and a cover for it.  All the kids and Kevin pitched in to buy it for me.
Garrett got his brother his own air soft pistol.  They love to go air softing.

Garrett is sporting his new beanie Morgan got him with his new jacket.
Justin has been wanting a magic kit forever!
Garrett got a new gun too.

Justin got Kevin a gift card to Starbucks.  He knows his dad loves coffee!

Christmas Cookies

We made sausage and cookies on the same night.  Exhausting but worth it!  Funny, all the kids have always enjoyed decorating cookies as much as making sausage.  This year Garrett decided it was "childish" to decorate cookies and decided at first he wasn't going to participate until I told him if it was too childish decorate then eating them would be really childish.  That changed his mind in a big hurry because he is all about the eating part. :)  He snapped out of it rather quickly and got serious with his decorating like the other kids.  They are all very artistic when it comes to adding their personal touches to the cookies.

When Garrett was little he used to sing this song to me when I was popping the cookies out of the oven.  :)  Oh why or why do they have to grow up?????

By the end of decorating everyone had at least on masterpiece.

Polish Sausage Making

The kids have been talking up sausage making to all their friends for months!  We made a bit extra this year so we could share some.

Looking to the big daddy for his seal of approval!
Must have passed the test!  Cheers!
